Website copy, content, and blog writing:
- Copywriting per page¹, from scratch: $15/page¹
- Content creation, including FAQ pages, product descriptions, etc.: .02/word
- Blog posting, from scratch: $10/post²
¹A “page” on the Web is considered to be about 500 words, or roughly two screens of information, rather than a standard printed page.
²A blog post is usually 250-400 words, more or less, or roughly one web page – written as a short article. Ownership and attribution is retained by blog owner.
Content for newsletters, white papers, and other uses:
- Standard newsletter article¹, from scratch: $20
- Standard white paper², from scratch: $50
- Ghost-written³ newsletter article¹, from scratch: $30
- Ghost-written³ white paper², from scratch: $60
¹A standard newsletter article, meant for printing in a newsletter and/or posting to a content-rich Web page, is roughly 750-1000 words in length. Price assumes you retain exclusive use rights, but that I will be attributed as author.
²A standard white paper, meant for multi-page online publication or download, is roughly 1200-2000 words in length. Price assumes that while you retain exclusive use rights, I will be attributed as author.
³Ghost-written means that you wish to retain exclusive use rights as well as be attributed as the author, thus leaving my name out of it. A very common practice.
